Yesterday, we showed you (click HERE!) the pregnant actress’ pink nursery for her upcoming daughter. Most of the baby items that Jessica Alba bought were eco-friendly and very safe. The mom-to-be also revealed that she and Cash Warren plan to put the finishing touches on the nursery with baby photos of various family members, but for now, they’re quite happy with the almost-completed room. These are some of the items that Jessica Alba used in the nursery:

The crib is Nurseryworks aerial crib in snow ($990).
The changing table is Nurseryworks two-wide changing table ($1200).
The rug is by The Rug Company ($1750).
Chandeliers by The Open Door ($600 each).
Bedding by Sage Creek Organics ($21-48).

Yesiree! PINK is the color of the day coz our fave actress and her fiance Cash Warren are REALLY expecting a baby girl! And the picture above (click to enlarge) is a recreation of the Jessica Alba’s eco-friendly nursery in her $4 million Beverly Hills home. Kari Whitman, the actress’ interior decorator, recreated the “green nursery” in Bel Bambini (a high-end baby shop) for the latest issue of Us Weekly. Along with her decorator, Jessica Alba decided on a lavender, pink, and white color scheme. They also wanted hippie-style embellishments (see the “LOVE” poster above the crib) while staying as eco-friendly as they could.

I really like it when our favorite actress writes something herself =) Sometimes it’s just too uninspiring to read what other writers / interviewers write about Jessica Alba. And so today, I was one happy fan! Hehe! The pregnant actress blogged about her excitement with the coming of her first baby with Cash Warren. Jessica Alba blogged,

After helping a girl stricken with heart disease, the pregnant Love Guru actress next helped hundreds of pregnant teenager girls. You can view Jessica Alba helping the preggy teens HERE. Anyway, according to reports, our fave actress visited Thomas Riley High School, a special school in the Los Angeles Unified School District dedicated to pregnant teenagers, last Friday (May 2). Jessica Alba talked to and distributed gifts to the nearly 200 girls that attend the school, visiting each classroom. She wore a full length navy blue halter gown that had an empire waist with keyhole appliqué work in white and a white muslin shirt with folded cuffs over it. She wore thong slippers for her comfort and accessorized with large D&G sunglasses, super sized gold hoops and a link chain gold necklace. Jessica Alba showed up at the school on her own accord, with a car load of gifts - baby clothes and other accessories. That’s our girl! =)

If you saw our favorite actress’ latest dinner out with Cash Warren (see it HERE), you’d see her wearing a black and almost see-through dress. Jessica Alba often wears dark colored maternity clothes and her outfit in Mr. Chow wasn’t an exception. What was unflattering was that her black dress struggled to contain her ample cleavage and her lack of bra support left little to the imagination. This isn’t the first time that Jessica Alba was caught in public without a bra. She also appeared bra-less in the 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards, wearing again an almost-see through dress. Is going bra-less a Hollywood trend among soon to-be mommies? As I remember, Halle Berry, Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie always displayed their maternity cleavage. For real?? Well, that’s what E! Online reports =) Weeks ago, the wife of Jessica Alba’s manager gave her a baby shower at Los Angeles with 30+ of her family and celebrity friends (Rashida Jones, Jamie King and Kim Kardashian). But according to E!’s source, our fave actress held a second baby shower this weekend to celebrate her family values. The source revealed, “The first one was thrown by her friends, but her [Jessica Alba] mom wanted to throw something more intimate for the family. She is from Pomona so this is for her family in 909.”

Now that the pregnant actress is close to her delivery date (nearly 2 months to go!), she’s quite strict with her diet. So in between nesting and decorating Honor’s nursery, Jessica Alba is also keeping an eye on her pre-natal diet. She says, “I have to make sure that I’m eating more of the right nutrients and vitamins, but I’m not used to eating this much.” Obviously! Hehe! Given the gorgeous pre-pregnancy body she has, I’m sure Jessica Alba has a very limited diet.

Frantic with what? With decorating the nursery for her first child with fiancé Cash Warren! According to Jessica Alba, “I’m just trying to get my house ready before the baby comes. It’s kind of hectic, it’s getting close and the house isn’t even ready yet.” YIKES! Now that’s every mother’s problem, lol! According to Page Six, our favorite actress did not only give goodie bags to her baby shower guests, but also gave them leather bracelets. But these aren’t just any bracelets — Jessica Alba asked the guests to wear it the moment she gave it at the event, and then launched into a special prayer. Other tabloids said it was a bizarre ritual, but you know how tabloids exaggerate! Anyway, a witness related:

“Jessica Alba made sure everyone was wearing a leather bracelet before they all launched into a ‘life, love, health’ prayer. She then told them they aren’t allowed to take the bracelets until the baby is born.”

We often see our favorite actress exercising and we were surprised when Jessica Alba continued to do so even when she became pregnant with her first child. Though it has always been stressed on how exercising while pregnant makes it easier for the mom to get back to her pre-baby weight, new research says it’s also good for the baby =) Guess Jessica Alba knew that hence her very strict exercise regimen. Here are details from Dr. Linda E. May of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences:

“When the mom exercises during pregnancy, the unborn baby gets the same type of training effect that you would see in an adult — so you see the lower heart rate and also improved heart rate variability, which is evidence of improvements in the nervous system of the heart. Maternal exercise may be the earliest intervention to improve the heart of children and possibly the best.”

WOW! So, to all you mothers and moms-to-be out there, do a Jessica Alba! Exercise for yourself, and most importantly, do it for your upcoming baby =)

Gosh, this is the fourth post we have about our fave actress’ recent baby shower already! And we still can’t promise it will be the last. Hehe! According to E! News, guests began trickling in at 1 pm, and Jessica Alba made her entrance at exactly 1:30. She was hustled in via a side entrance to avoid the hordes of paparazzi. The baby shower took place outside under white umbrellas where lavender and white dominated the decor. The soundtrack was on the mellow side, featuring Buena Vista Social Club, Sade and light jazz. I wonder if Jessica Alba chose the music herself.
