Jessica Alba narrowly lost two “contests” this week. One was the crown of the World’s Sexiest Brunette, which was won by Cheryl Cole of Girls Aloud fame. The survey was done by Nuts magazine which also asked who men would rather marry – a blond or a brunette? The answer, a brunette coz they are deemed to be more trustworthy. Along with Sophie Cole and Jessica Alba in the top 5 are Lucy Pinder, Roxanne McKee and Sophie Howard.

The other “contest” that our favorite actress lost was the poll conducted by MPH ’07 and the 4Car website. The poll was all about the readers’ perfect dream car and passenger. Jessica Alba received 22 percent while the winner, Scarlett Johansson, got 23 percent. A very narrow lead, isn’t it?? Anyway, the dream ride was Alfa 8C Competizione. So can you imagine yourself riding in an Alfa 8C with Scarlett? Almost perfect! But we’d still prefer Jess, after all we’re true-blue Jessica Alba fanatics! =)

Yesterday we reported that the on-again/off-again Hollywood couple, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, went shopping in Malibu. We said that our favorite actress was browsing at displays of toddler shoes. Apparently Jessica Alba also got her man some new shoes and shirts. Here’s a photo of Jess sizing up a shirt on Cash’ physique.

Don’t they look just like ordinary couples?? From the photo it’s obvious that our favorite actress is very enamored with Cash. We just hope Cash will make her happy. More photos in the previous post. Anyway, gossips are now speculating that Jessica Alba is pregnant because of her recent weight gain, plus the fact that she was caught shopping for baby stuff. When asked for who the baby shoes for, Jess didn’t answer. So, is it for Cash Jr.?? Let the pregnancy speculation begin! Lol! Poor Jess, when she was thin, critics were lambasting her. Now she that she gained weight, gossips are busy spreading rumors that she’s pregnant. Tsk!

The on-again/off-again couple strikes again! This time, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were spotted shopping in Malibu. Guess they’re “on” again, lol! So does that mean that Jessica believed Cash when he said he did not cheat on her via a part-time model?? Hmm.. The duo was caught shopping for pretty baby shoes by TMZ.com’s cameras. Apparently, they ended up buying lots of stuff coz Cash carried a lot of shop bags on the way out! Anyway, when Jessica Alba was asked who were the baby shoes for, she gave no answer. It was as if the paparazzi were not there given the attention she gave to them. Hehe! After exiting the Malibu store, Jess and Cash walked rapidly to the parking lot and into their Prius. Despite their numerous media appearances, we’ve never heard Dane Cook speak of Jessica Alba, his Good Luck, Chuck co-star, so glowingly as in this report. It’s almost like he’s in love with her, hehe! According to Dane, our favorite actress is beautiful inside and out. He told US Magazine, “It’s rare to find somebody who has that natural, innate communicability, and, at the same time, is beautiful inside and out. It’s just thrilling and I had that experience with Jessica Alba.” Dane further added, “She’s got quite the sense of humour, that on.” So, that means they’ve got something in common huh? Cash Warren, you better keep watch of Dane! The comedian also observed that Jessica Alba doesn’t care if she looks silly as long as she can make people laugh. Dane says, “Alba came to set and was like, ‘I don’t really care about how this makes me look or how I’m perceived. Let’s just do what’s going to get us the laughs at the end of the day.” He concludes, “I enjoy the day much more when I’m with somebody who is willing to go for it like she is.” Great job Jess! Now you’ve got another admirer! =)

“Good Luck, Chuck”, the new movie of screen goddess Jessica Alba was released last Friday to mixed reviews. Most critics found the film too racy and lewd for a film widely promoted as a romantic comedy. According to San Francisco Chronicle film critic Peter Hartlaub, “There are at least two dozen graphic, profanity-filled and occasionally violent sex scenes in the film…” The widely respected Roger Ebert of Chicago Sun-Times have an even more graphic review: “Here is the dirty movie of the year, slimy and scummy … There is a word for this movie, and that word is: Ick.” Yikes! But despite critics almost calling the movie as pornography, there were some viewers who loved the new movie of Jessica Alba.

One said, “The people who were shocked by the profanity and nakedness should have taken a closer look at the rating – it is R. My boyfriend and I left the theater thinking it was way funnier than either of us expected. So girls, if you like romantic comedies, this is one that has enough boobs and guy humor to entertain any anti-’chick flick’ boyfriend.” Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, her co-star, did not give any comment about the reviews. Needless to say, all the ranting of the critics about the film’s “lewdness”, will only add to its appeal – especially to guys.

And what would girly-girl Jessica Alba teach the “manly” Ellen DeGeneres? Jessica’s sexy walk of course! If you remember, weeks ago, a study done by Cambridge scientists revealed that Jessica Alba has the sexiest walk among the top celebrities. It was all about Jess having the best waist to hip ratio; the said ratio is important coz it provides the body with “the right torso strength to produce a regular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion.” But a few days later, a scientist squealed that the study was rigged by the one who commissioned it. They wanted an actress with curvy legs to win. And the “true” winner according to the squealer, was, sadly not Jess.

Anyway, Ellen must have not known about the latter news coz when Jessica Alba appeared in The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she asked our favorite actress to teach her how to walk the “sexy walk”. Reluctantly, Jess agreed even though she said that the study was “silly”. She then strutted onstage but apparently Ellen can’t see what’s all the fuss about Jess’ swagger. The host said, “I don’t understand…” It’s ok Ellen, we think maybe you have to be a true-blue man to understand, lol!

In her own way, Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba is a role model to many young women today. She’s beautiful, talented, rich, and with a good head on her shoulders. If she’s being looked up to, who does our favorite actress look up to? Especially in terms of acting? Jessica tells AP that her role model is Drew Barrymore. Yup, she looks up to Hollywood’s original wild child!

Jessica shared, “Definitely Drew! Working with her [on ‘Never Been Kissed’] when I was 16 and seeing how she absolutely loves what she does and is still totally inspired and is opening doors for so many women, yeah, she definitely has been a role model. She’s really terrific.” We’re sure this is music to Drew’s ears. After all she struggled all those years to fight her demons to come out on top of Hollywood’s A-listers. Great choice Jess! Hope you’ll have the staying power of Drew =)

Would you believe that the stunning Jessica Alba has her own day?? Like, you know, an Abraham Lincoln day or something like that. Lol! Recently a Tennessee charity organized an advanced screening of Jessica’s upcoming comedy film “Good Luck, Chuck” in Knoxville, Tennessee. The charity screening was for the benefit of children with disabilities. Our favorite actress and her funnyman co-star Dane Cook graced the event which prompted Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam to proclaim the day “Jessica Alba and Dane Cook Day”. Dane quipped to the crowd of about 1000, “I’ve never had a proclamation except, ‘You’re fired!’” Lol! Dane is sooo funny! =)

Anyway, the charity screening raised a whooping $260,000 (€186,046) for Variety of Eastern Tennesse, the charity who’ll help the disabled kids. Variety was helped by Knoxville-based Regal Entertainment Group which has already hosted several screenings to benefit Variety. Other movies that had charity screenings include “Talladega Nights” and “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
