Did you know that it’s National Singles Week (Sept. 17 – 21) this week?? We also didn’t know until Jessica Alba topped a poll by Yahoo! Personals wherein singles were asked which celebrity (male and female) they would most like to date. It came to no surprise to us that our favorite actress would get the plum in the female category – after all, she’s FHM’s 2007 “Sexiest Woman Alive” and guys dig that kind of stuff. Lol! In the male category, the ever-dashing George Clooney topped the list.

Anyway, along with Jess in the top five are (in order of rank) Jennifer Aniston, Queen Latifah (surprise!!!), Jessica Simpson, tennis beauty Maria Sharapova, Sandra Oh and “Top Chef” star Padma Lakshmi. According to Susan Mernit, Yahoo! Personals’ online dating expert, “In addition to people finding them [Jessica and George] physically appealing, it doesn’t hurt that they have both maintained a clean reputation while living in front of the cameras. That combination is most likely why our survey’s respondents find them so desirable.” Rock on Jess! We’re proud of you! =)

Last September 11 and 13, over 35 students working for their college newspapers got the chance to talk to Jessica Alba and Dane Cook via phone. Its part of the duo’s media blitz for their R-rated comedy Good Luck, Chuck to be shown this Friday. The actors were asked about their personal lives and past film roles. According to Jessica, her hardest role so far was the one in Honey. Our favorite actress says, “I had many sleepless nights before I had to do Honey, I mean, I really never danced before. I’m sitting here with people who have danced their whole lives and I have to teach them.” Of course, the chat wouldn’t end without the journalists asking Jessica how she feels about being known as a sex symbol. She shares, “You know, it’s both flattering and strange. To look back when I was young and no one wanted to date me, I can feel good about the flattery I get now.” The ugly duckling has become Hollywood’s prettiest young swan.. =)

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is winding down and most movies were already screened. Many movies were bought and among them is Jessica Alba’s film with Aaron Eckhart entitled Bill. The movie premiered in TIFF the other weekend, and stars Aaron as a loser in life who finds a new reason for living when he mentors a rebellious teen. First Look Studios bought the film and paid just over $3m for the US rights while Maple Films paid mid-six figures for Canadian rights. According to First Looks’ people, the movie has “…a solid cast and a bold, funny script.” So we guess Jessica has another comedy film under her belt =)

On other Jessica Alba news, her comedy film Good Luck, Chuck will finally open in theaters this Friday! So, to all Alba fanatics out there, go out and watch our favorite actress’ latest movie! We’re sure guys need not be told twice about this, lol!

Jessica Alba is quite busy these days, thumping for “Good Luck, Chuck” in various media channels along with her co-star Dane Cook. MTV recently had the chance to interview our favorite actress, and the most revealing stuff she shared was about her real-life clumsy moments. MTV asked Jess if her clumsiness ever got her in trouble and the stunning actress shared her a recent experience. She says, “I thought it would be really cute, on a date, at 4 in the morning, to go climb a rock in Malibu [California]. ‘It’s a full moon; let’s go climb a rock!’ Yeah, right. There was a huge lagoon in front of the rock, and I fell face first into the water. Completely soaking wet, and I had a huge scratch. On my camera test, the makeup artist was like, ‘What’s that huge scab on your leg?’ I forgot about it too. That happens, by the way, when you go through something embarrassing. You block it out until you remember the scab.” We are so completely into your experience Jess! Normal people like us have them most of the time, lol!

They say love’s lovelier the second time around but in the case of Jessica Alba’s relationship with Cash Warren, it seems it does not apply. After separating last summer and hooking back up recently, the duo now face their biggest problem – Cash’s rumored cheating. We ran a post on this earlier, and Cash has since denied he cheated on Jessica. Our favorite actress, meanwhile, has no comment about the issue despite her numerous media appearances. Cash’s “other woman”, Vera Mishina, was not as silent as Jess however, and gave a tell-all interview to The National Enquirer.

Says the 20-year old Russian part-time model, “On the night he (Cash) picked me up and got me into his bed, he was acting like the world’s biggest single man. But I found out that only hours after being with me, he was on a plane back to L.A., where he was then photographed having dinner with her (Jessica) and acting affectionate.” The rejected model further adds, “If he had told me they had gotten back together there’s no way I would have allowed him to sleep with me. I now feel like all he wanted was a one-night stand. I feel used. Cash wasn’t very honest to lead me along like he did. Jessica may want to rethink taking him back. He cheated on her the minute he was away from her.” Whoa! That was a harsh thing to say Vera. But we’re sure Jessica is really doing some serious rethinking about taking back Cash…

ContactMusic.com recently interviewed Jessica Alba wherein the sexy actress revealed her oh-so secret vice. Jessica has earlier shared her healthy habit of drinking lots of water, and now she reveals a soft spot for another crystal clear liquid — whiskey! Yep, our favorite actress loves to down bottles of the distilled liquor. And she hates people who just collect bottles of whiskey without drinking it for the Fantastic Four star considers it wasteful. And what does Jessica do with all their whiskey?

According to the Sin City temptress, “I drink it [whiskey] with friends and my father. What’s the point of collecting it when you are not going to enjoy it?” Our favorite actress then added: “It is such a short life that you might as well enjoy it.” Oh yeah, Jess is really our kind of woman! A no-nonsense gal who wants to enjoy her life to the fullest! =)

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren apparently split up last month because our favorite actress wants to get married already while Cash can’t commit to settling down yet. The two were recently seen having lovey-dovey moments, and Jessica admits that their relationship is a “work in progress”. Bad news Jess, apparently you’re the only one working on it as Cash is out gallivanting with other women! According to reports, two days after Jess and Cash met up to repair their relationship, Cash apparently hooked up with a part-time model in New York while attending a basketball game. The said model is 20-year old Vera Mishina (you’re now famous dear! lol), and friend of hers spilled the beans about the duo’s tryst. And you thought Jess wouldn’t know, eh Cash? Tsk!

According to Vera’s friend, Cash invited the model to his hotel room last August 24. “Cash went straight for Vera,” the friend revealed to In Touch. “It seemed like he really liked her. He couldn’t take his hands off her! The rest of us left, but Vera told me that she and Cash made love that night and again the next morning.” Uh-oh! Jess, are you reading this?? Oh, you poor soul. And there’s more! Apparently, after spending the night together, Cash then told Vera he’d be “back in town on September 20.” Tryst part 2?? You are one stupid guy Cash! You’re replacing the sexiest woman on earth for some two-bit model?? Jessica doesn’t deserve you! Not now, not ever!

The beautiful Jessica Alba was recently interviewed by MTV’s Josh Horowitz. The lucky guy got a chance to chat with the Fantastic Four star about her acting career. According to Jessica, she really wants to do another action movie, or sink her teeth into another action role. After all, her big break was in an action-packed TV show, Dark Angel. Our favorite actress must have missed doing stunts and is now craving to kick some ass. Lol! Anyway, Mr Horowitz asked Jess whether there’s a possibility she would play Barbarella, and the sexy actress replied, “Isn’t that going to Rose? I think it is.” The ‘Rose’ Jessica mentioned is another sexy young actress, Rose McGowan. Oh well, nothing is really sure in Hollywood until the movie itself is out in cinemas. So here we are hoping to see Jessica as Barbarella! What do you think guys? Would she fit in the role?

Anybody of you watched The Late Show with David Letterman when Jessica Alba appeared? We’re sure you enjoyed her interview with Mr. Letterman as it contained lots of juicy stuff– like her admission that she strips in real life (see previous post) and that she smoked weed. Luscious stuff ain’t it? The stuff that makes the tabloids happy, lol! Still, Jessica never said upfront that she used weed, she only heavily hinted at it.

Our favorite actress went to Amsterdam last month to visit the rapper 50 Cent, and she relates that the place is “very nice, it’s really pretty - lots of bikes.” Jessica added that “While I was there I realised that I forgot how to ride a bike.” And then she added her punchline: “Or while I was there I was in a state of mind that didn’t allow me to ride a bike the way I should have been!” Oh yeah, weed effect man.. Hehe! In case you don’t know, weeds and “soft” drugs are legal in Amsterdam and the rest of The Netherlands. Heck, even prostitution is legal there! But then let’s not go into that, lol!

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) officially opened last Friday with a bang! And most Hollywood celebrities that were in Venice for another filmfest, trooped to Toronto this time, for another round of glamorous movie screenings. The stunning Jessica Alba who is frequently in Toronto for film shoots is now in town for the world premiere of her movie, Bill, with Aaron Eckhart. The movie is about a teen’s mentor. Our favorite actress looked glamorous, and serious at the same time, in her gray and black pantsuit ensemble at the said premiere. You can see Jess’ photos in Toronto below. She looked great as usual! =)

Aside from attending Bill’s premiere in TIFF, it was rumored that Jessica is one of the few Hollywood A-listers chosen by Audi, a car manufacturer, to ride in their new vehicles. Aside from Jess, George Clooney and Brad Pitt will also be using Audi cars while cruising in Toronto for the duration of the TIFF. Hmm, are we seeing a sexy Audi commercial with Jessica Alba in it??
