But the truth was, it was a casting call to find a suitable wife for the actor. After Scientologist actresses where rejected, Jessica Alba’s name came up. The unnamed Scientology official who planned the casting call then tried to lure Electra star Jennifer Garner - who had just started dating Ben Affleck at the time. Jen was ranked top of the priority list, before Katie Holmes was spotted gushing about Tom Cruise and was called to Los Angeles to meet the actor.

This week, I stumbled on a disturbing tabloid rumor. According to one rag, Jessica Alba was one of the Hollywood actresses invited to audition as Tom Cruise next wife. What the?? The story goes like this: ex-Scientologist Marc Headley, who used to produce promotional films for the controversial religion, alleges that Scientology leader David Miscavige organized an audition process for potential wives disguised as a casting call for a new movie in which Tom Cruise was the leading man. And Jessica Alba was one of the invited non-Scientologist actresses when Scientologists stars didn’t make the cut.

Yes, we’re not finished with our fave actress’ mommy talk! Hehe! Because of her pregnancy, Jessica Alba felt the need of moving into a new house. “I led a life that didn’t include a child,” she explained. “So I’m changing my lifestyle to include a family. Everything has to change, from the car to the house.” Jessica Alba, more upfront than usual, even volunteered that she is enjoying preparing a nursery. She also shared her fears of getting stretch marks (aside from her much reported breastfeeding nightmares).

In a recent press junket, Jessica Alba enthused once again about motherhood. She shared, “I’m excited. I’m going to love my child to the most that I possibly can. I have a different perspective on things now. Things that used to be so important, like my work, aren’t as much anymore. Now, it’s family.”

In a recent press conference, our favorite actress denied rumors that she is following the trend among Hollywood mothers-to-be — that is, not getting married. Jessica Alba revealed, “I’m definitely going to be married. You’ll find out when it gets leaked to the press.” LOL! She can really be funny sometimes! Well, we hope you’ll leak it out soon Jess! We’re sooo excited! =) The Eye actress will give birth this coming June and when asked if Cash Warren will assist her in labor and giving birth, Jessica Alba quipped, “He’ll do whatever I say. That’s what all men do.” Hahaha! So right gurl!

After Paris, our favorite actress went over to London for the premiere of her new movie, The Eye (out in April). There, Jessica Alba expressed her sadness over the news that Patrick Swayze has cancer. If you haven’t heard, Mr. Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but is said to be “responding well to treatment”. Jessica Alba said in an interview that she remembers watching Patrick’s hit films Dirty Dancing and Ghost as a child. She says, “I grew up with him, so it’s always horrible to hear of anybody having any kind of illness.”

Right now, that is. Or at least while she was in Paris, France. I thought she’s over the pregnancy cravings stage? Jessica Alba is in her second trimester now, right? And I must insert, she still looks oh-so sexy and gorgeous! =) Anyhoo, back to the ham and cheese sandwich.. Hehe! Jessica Alba wrote in her MySpace blog last Tuesday that, “Every day I have eaten ham and cheese sandwiches, I cant get enough of them. Wish they had these back in the states, the bread is amazing.” Yup, the secret is definitely in the bread! Ham and cheese is quite typical in the US (especially in the jails, lol) but what makes it special in Paris is the gourmet bread (and perhaps the gourmet ham).

Our favorite actress seems to be quite tech savvy eh?? Hehe! Last Tuesday, Jessica Alba wrote her latest blog entry while she was preparing for The Eye premiere in Paris. She blogged, “Hey guys, I am now in Europe promoting to “the eye.” LAST TRIP!!! Went to the Lanvan show and the Rodin museum in Paris…amazing. Also saw Amy Whinehouse perform. She has such an incredible voice. She’s definitely a throwback…reminiscent of Ella. I am currently getting my makeup done to go to the premiere of my movie. Can’t wait to get home and rest.” With all the pictures the paps got (and we saw) of her in Paris, I’m sure Jessica Alba has been all over the city. And if you’re preggers like her, you’ll definitely be tired! And who would have thought that our favorite actress is a fan of Amy Winehouse?? Hehe! But then, despite her weird antics, she’s a really good singer. I wonder if Jessica Alba can sing? Coz she seem well versed about singers and musical artists. Hmmm..
